Attorney and Counselor Tyrone McClean was a transplant to Eastern North Carolina from New York. Mr. McClean spent most of his developmental and formative years in Williamston, NC. After graduating from Williamston Highs School, he attended the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, where he majored in English. He then attended North Carolina Central University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. At NCCU Law he was a member of the Black Law Student’s Association and Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. He is a proud member of the North Carolina and Pitt County Bars.
As an attorney, he has the unique ability to affect each and every client he meets with unfailing enthusiasm and drive to find workable solutions to complex problems. He is not satisfied to make summary investigations into legal matters. But even better, Mr. McClean has strong interpersonal skills formed through his own lived experiences here, in Eastern North Carolina. Being a product of Eastern North Carolina bolstered a real and deep desire to become an advocate for people who live in poverty and for those who do not have adequate or fair representation under the law. He now returns to the very spaces that defined him to in order to help others. Committed to equity and justice, he practices Criminal Defense, Traffic, Personal Injury and Civil Rights Law.
